[SOLVED] Another app is using the microphone?

I just upgraded my phone to a Galaxy S23 Ultra today and when I tried to use an audio recorder app it tells me "Another app is using the microphone" so I went into permissions and made sure it was the only app with permission but it still gives me the same message. does anyone know how to fix this?

After a little more searching I have realized my app was discontinued in 2019 so apparently even tho I was able to keep the app in the transfer it doesn't work on the new phone.
