Sorry, probably should've fit this in with the other I just posted, a slightly more complicated question. There's a small 9 pin cable on my case labelled "USB". I'm assuming this is for USB 2.0 which has two ports in the face of the case. The users manual for my case has a diagram of the USB 2.0 which has usbp3- and usb3+ on the left side, and usb 2-, 2+ on the opposite. My components came with a little usb adapter which has +5v p2- p2+ on the top(?) and p1- p1+ on the opposite . My motherboard (Maximus VII Hero) seems to have support for USB 10-1 pin USB13, USB1112; USB910. I know some of you must know what I'm talking about, whether my case USB 2.0 cable is compatible with my motherboard 2.0. Can anyone help? Can I use the adapter? Should I plug into USB13 or USB1112; USB910?

I really have. It's a small manual only 24 odd pages and the only bit about connections is the diagram I tried to describe. I still have no idea whether the cable is compatible with the motherboard..

Thanks for the replies. I searched the forum a bit and discovered those numbers are nothing but port numbers 9,10 & 11,12. No incompatibility.
