Another SSD as good as the Samsung 830 Series 128GB (MZ-7PC128D/AM)?

I made a topic on this forum a few days ago asking for suggestions on parts for a new gaming computer on a $1000-1500 budget. A user named g-unit1111 recommended me this build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/rALV.

I was getting ready to order the parts today and everything is in stock somewhere except the SSD. I can easily wait until a store gets them in stock but if there's another SSD out there that's just as good as that one I'd rather get it so I can get my build sooner.

The Crucial M4, any Intel SSD, OCZ Vertex 3 or 4 - these are all roughly the same quality (though IMO Intel and Samsung are the best). They are all roughly the same price, as well.

Of course, you could also just get a Samsung 840 :)

Ok, but that's another thing I didn't understand. Why are people still recommending the 830s when there's a new version of them out?

The newer series doesn't really improve much. In fact, in real-world circumstances you'll never notice any difference between the two. The 830 dropped in price when the 840 came out, but the model's speed and reliability are the same... so, when there's really no functional difference between them, there's no reason to go for the more expensive one just because it's newer.

Ah, ok, thanks for the help.
