Antec 100 top fan stopped by 8-pin eatx12v clips. Help

Hi everyone,

I am building my new pc and I have a problem. The 8-pin eatx12v clips that are securing the cable in its place is so close to the top fan of my case that block it. I read somewhere that somebody cut those clips, but I would not like to do that. Is there another solution? A thinner 140mm fan perhaps than the one that comes with my antec 100 case?

Update: I was looking at 8-pin eatx12v extensions since my psu cable is anyway a bit too small and it has to go over the graphics card. My question is: first of all, is the general idea of an extension for the 8-pin eatx12v cable a good idea? Also, does anyone know such an extension with slimmer clips? Only a hair thinner is needed and the top case fan will not be blocked anymore. Finally, what do you think if I get the extension and trim the clips down thinner? This way, I will not have to trim the original psu cable clips and void my warranty...

Am I in the right track? Any suggestions?
