Hi,

I got my Antec 1200 today and after getting the side panel off and putting all the stuff in I came to replacing the side panel.

After fixing it back on I noticed that the top corner at the from of the case is not properly secured and there is a slight gap between the panel and case.

It stays in place but if its knocked slightly it makes an awful rattling noise.

Me and my mate have looked and it and are sure the panel is fitted correctly and that the fault is with the bracket that holds the panel in place being ever so slightly too wide at the top.

We think we can fix it with a slight tweak with a pair of pliers.

I would send the case back and get another but Im too impatient to wait.

What do you guys think?

and has anyone heard of a simmilar fault with the 1200?

mine had scratches on the side window. But I modded it (spray paint and stencils) So I don't really care. But year, for the price it should be perfect.

Every once in a while cases are slightly out of alignment. It's rare but it does happen. I had one particular case that I wanted to mod. It had the exact same problem you described. I used a kitchen towel and a pair of pliers to fix the problem. The towel was placed against the metal to prevent the pliers from marking or scratching the metal. Another time a case had a frame that was not square. I borrowed a neighbor's rubber mallet and gave the frame a few good whacks. Problem solved.

GOOD LUCK!
