Antec Sonata and TruePower550

A question for anyone:

Does the Antec TruePower550 PS fit nicely (no gotcha's) into the Sonata
case? The Sonata comes with a special 380PS, and my wattage requirements
may soon creep unconfortably close to the 380 limit.

Any thoughts on how much higher is the TruePower550 noise level as compared
to the 380?

TIA

Does the Sonata case allow for a fan on top ? Check the Antec website for
specs on the Sonata and TruePower 550 the noise and heat levels are listed.

Thanks, Jaster for your response.

I'll check those specs more closely 🙁. I didn't realize that the Antec550
PS had a fan outlet set for the top of the case..

Today I received by 3.2Ghz P4, and my 3200C memory (1Gig - Corsair). So
tomorrow I will start the delicate setup process with the SY-P4I875P-D2 -
V1.0 Mobo..... Yiiiiihaaaa!!!.

I don't intend to overclock but in any case, has anyone put together a
system like this that can share some experience? Oh, I will still be using
my Radeon 7200, until the X800 comes out... hehehehe....

TIA!

The 550 has a fan on the back, and one on either the top or the bottom, but
that just depends on which way you mount it.

Normal convention is to have the internal PS fan pointing at the CPU.

The Antec PSUs have fan on the bottom and rear side. Not on top!
