Hey guys, I have a NZXT guardian 921B case and I am rewiring some of my stuff and would like to wear an anti static wriststrap to be safe while doing this. I realized that when I built this PC I didn't use it correctly but lucked out and didn't shock anything. My problem is that there's no unpainted part of the case that I can connect it to. There's unpainted screws but they are too small. I was also told that you are not supposed to connect the PSU in while doing this. The only place I thought might work would be the outside of my GPU and connect it to one of the DVI screw holes.

Solution
Unplug the computer when doing any work on it.

I have not used these wrist straps across several builds and not had an issue. I just make sure to touch some metal before picking up any parts.

If you still want to wear the strap, then just attach the end of it to a wrench, or other suitable piece of metal. It does not need to be part of the case.
