The ant is still alive and walking inside my lcd ASUS VC239H, im just worried if it will go to the electrical components and destroy or damage my monitor, can it be? And how will i get it out of my monitor help please

Solution
i think it would depend on how many got in. I would try to avoid it happening. i don't think a few would be a major problem.
that is unusual.

this doesn't help but its funny to see Asus response
I have a bug in my display... an actual insect, not a software error.

To repeat, and to be clear, a small insect has, somehow, gotten into my display
under the glass and can be seen crawling around.

This machine is still under warranty, I believe. What should I do?

Reinstall the VGA driver? Really? Surely even the pattern recognition software should have flagged the word 'insect'...

Anyway, I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Has anyone else ever experienced having a bug inside their display?

other advice seems to be to let it die: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2314872/bug-inside-lcd-monitor.html

Let it die or crawl out on its own.

My little dude from a couple of years ago:

I have exactly the same problem in my VG245H, running around inside the image, but the damn thing died, so I have a permanent black blob in the middle of my screen. I called ASUS support and they ruled it is USER ERROR and will cost ME $139.99 to repair. I do not believe an electronic component like this should be accessible to insects - maybe in the air vents but certainly not INSIDE the imaging area! I am engaging the services of a lawyer and gathering together as many as I can of the many ASUS monitor owners complaining of insects inside their screens. If you want to participate reply to this post.

This is not just an ASUS thing.
My monitor was an HP.

There are dozens of people complaining about ants INSIDE their imaging modules. But I am only interested at this point in trying to get ASUS to take responsibility for their monitor design. The screen imaging area should NOT be accessible to insects. Of course that applies to all display makers. Anyway I don't think I should have to pay to get this repaired. It is a design flaw.

I have an Asus Monitor as well and an ant was crawling on my screen as well!!! I tapped the screen and killed him unfortunately. There is now a dead ant inside my screen and it's covering a few pixels.

Bro! I have the same exact monitor and i had an ant in mine as well.

This will be a late answer but i hope it will help others.

I have a dell monitor which had ants in it, It was 1 at start tried squishing them but no use they were still active.

One day they were like 4 ants roaming under the screen, i was so frustrated as i can see them in white background of the screen clearly.

So finally i blasted them using fire literal FIRE, i placed my monitor under direct sunlight for 10 mins, poor ants swirled and got fried.

Still it was sticking onto my screen so i left it like that, after few days they fell of between the screen to the bottom of the screen and viola.
