Hello all,

anyone knows if there are any currently being sold LGA 1700 motherboards that it has been confirmed will support Raptor Lake?

Thank you in advance

Solution
intel got slide with raptor lake being compatible with alder lake socket...which means you will need to just update bios if you already have 600 serie mainboard, or you could go with 700 serie as it probably get released with it as well

Thanks for that.

I actually know about the backward compatibility. I was wondering whether there were any specific motherboards that were confirmed will accept the forthcoming CPU.

Reason I ask is,
I'm currently using a z97 motherboard which was supposed to support next gen cpus and that's why I bought it.
In the end those werejust rumours and I was left with my current cpu (4790) being the highest I could use.

I'd like to be sure this time :)
