I've been procrastinating for a long time. My present system includes the Ryzen 1800x (when released) paired with an Asus 1080ti. This time around I'm going to do a MSI build centered with a Ryzen 9800x3d (whenever it's back in stock) and RTX 5xxx (eyeing the 5070 or 5070ti when released and available). It's shockingly still in great shape. My daughter has also taken it over being a ruthless online gamer! I offered her my system as she mainly plays the Sims 4, Roblox, and at times American Truck Simulator.

I'm probably going to downsize as my tower is a full tower. My old specs:

Corsair Full tower (forgot the name)
Ryzen 1800x
Mobo: Asrock Taichi
16GB RAM
Asus RoG 1080ti OC
Corsair 1000i PSU
Samsung (forgot which one) nvme 2TB HDD
27" RoG 1440p IPS monitor
Corsair mechanical keyboard, mouse, and mouse pad (RGB)
Corsair Hydro heatsink (360mm)
Windows 10

My daughter wants a gaming station lol so I'm giving her the system above.

If wondering, my early ideas:

Ryzen 9800x3d
MSI x870e EDGE OR CARBON) or Tomahawk
G.skill 32GB or 64GB (duel ram)
MSI mid tower 700r
Maybe: MSI curved Monitor or 2
keyboard and mouse (MSI)
MSI 360mm Coreliquid

If wondering, games I play: Cities Skylines 1 and 2 (mostly 1 until they get their act together), American Truck Simulator, Civilization 6, Sims 4, Anno 1800, No Mans Sky.....

My question, I'm looking at the x870e MSI Carbon and and MSI x870e EDGE. Is there a difference?
