any graphics card recommendation for my motherboard?

Hello, recently my motherboard died on me and sent it to a repair shop to have it changed. However, after a few weeks of usage, i noticed my graphics card started to act up and eventually died on me too. So any recommendation on graphics card? Not looking for a high end one, just a mid range one will suffice as im planning to get a new computer if it dies on me again.

Motherboard : Asrock H71M-DGS


P.S im not a computer expert so i dont really know anything else.

Yea but I mean go used 750ti at least. Cause an unstable PSU like the one he probably has is not safe and best for a new card.

Are you wanting to get the GT 730? It's a low end card and probably not able to run CSGO on even medium settings if you are using 1080p resolution. Look for a card like the GTX 750 or 750ti. New they are US$100, so used they should be quite a bit cheaper.

There is a 750 one for sale for around SGD$99 so ill probably get that one. No chance in coming across a 750ti 🙁

yes it is compatible.

the 750 is a small beast that can play most games 1080p med with smooth frames. good card for price

the 730 is a carp card and is not worth the small amount cheaper for so much less performance.

found a zotac 750ti OC 2GB ddr5 saw that the recommended psu is 400w and mine is only 300w will it work???

well with that graphic card the recommended power is 326W which means you need a 400 or 500W PSU and the current PSU could not handle that card.

No unfortunately there's no way to round this , what you saying about 300W is the recommended but sometimes it's going to need higher power and if the PSU couldn't provide that power it could damage the graphic card. and that's just the GPU there are other parts seeking power from PSU , in total it's possible but highly risky.(not recommended, parts could die)
and for the record the maximum power consumption of this card is about 175W

The manufactures always recommend a bigger PSU than you need. Because they don't know what the rest of your system is, they allow a lot of extra watts just to be safe. There is very little difference between all the 750ti cards, so no point getting one over another. Personally I think you would be fine using your 300W PSU (I know of people with HP Pavilions with a 220W PSU who have used a 750ti and had not problems). If this was a new build I would recommend you get a bigger PSU, but as you said you just want to keep it going for a while, I think it would be fine.

thanks for the advice but ill take the risk as i just want to keep it going for awhile more so i dont plan on upgrading the psu. really appreciate the help!

hmm palit is an okay brand. its common to see insane oc with those cards. some guy got a palit Jetstream 970 to 1.5 or 1.6 GHz without much problem.

though you won't be Ocing with that PSU
