any other uses for ram?

Hi there you all. I currently have 32gb of ram installed on my rig and i wanted to know if i could use some ram to make my pc faster. I know it sounds stupid, but i heard someone say that you can use ram to improve boot times. Are there any other uses for ram?

It can't help boot times, what you could do is create a 16gb ramdisk and Everytime you boot load something there and it'll load faster than anything else.
