Any problems with using an OEM copy from Amazon/Newegg for a clean install on an SSD?

Is this the best way to go? I really don't want to buy a new copy of windows 10 because I like 7 much better. Would it be a problem to clean install an OEM version of Windows 7 onto my SSD? Or should I just bite the bullet and go with 10 so I can get support/updates from Microsoft if needed?

Thanks for any and all input

Yeah its a new SSD on a PC already running an upgraded copy of windows 10. I don't really have the time or energy to learn how to clone just my OS and I don't have the install discs for my first copy of windows 7.

If it is already Upgraded to Win 10, the clone operation is pretty seamless, given a few conditions.

1. How large is the SSD?
2. How much total used space is on the current C ddrive?

It's a 120gb SSD and I'm using about 300gb on my C Drive.

Then either reduce the total used space to under 100GB and clone it,
or
A clean install on the new drive.

Yes, the OEM license will work for a clean installation on that same system, on a new drive.
