Any reason to use a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS card?

Found it lying in a drawer. Last used about 5 years ago when it was lurking in a Windows 7 system. My current system is an i3-based Win10 home-build. The mobo (ASRock H97M Pro4) has RealTek onboard sound and I use a Behringer USB mixer now & then to get digital sound in & out of the PC.

Is there any application I might be missing for my old SB card? Or should I toss it?

I gave up on dedicated sound solutions for PCs years ago. For general use it's not worth imo. I found them to be better for settings, if working, but not vs all the problems that came with drivers, conflicts and everything else, vs plug n play onboard sound.

Audiophiles will no doubt get much more from their sound solutions, but I suppose they would have more up to date kit for their more up to date speaker systems (short of them having some older tech that still blasts out wonderful sound).

I honestly suggest you test it for yourself. Everyone's ears, setups and room size (or acoustic environment) is different.
