No. My PC is not sick. HA! I am looking for a drawing tablet that would help me draw strait lines on things like a JPG of a map. I have heard of these things but never had one. It is difficult to draw a perfect strait line using a mouse.

TIA

Desmond.

Microsoft Surface comes to mind.

But maybe you're using the wrong software or technique?
With an image editing application like Paintshop Pro, GIMP, or a host of others, you can create lines on a jpg. Or any other shape you desire.

No. These are laptops. I need a drawing tool that could draw with a pen. If this is a touch screen, then I see what you mean, but realy want a USB plug in device to my desktop PC.

Ah.

Well, Wacom is the general standard. Various models at various prices. From $50 to over $3k.

Professional digital drawing tools. Because they make money with them.

Wacom as mentioned is the defacto standard. But many companies now offer decent options. (You might also be able to easily track down some used/older Wacom stuff if you are on a budget)

Obviously the big difference is having the display output on the surface you are drawing on, so it is a more direct experience. But the old tablet drawing systems used an external monitor like you are attempting.

Huion and XP-Pen seem to be the most common recommendations as alternatives.

Well I see it on Amazon but it dosn't display the image on it as I look on the Amazon website.

This is what I see from your AmazonUK link.

This one doesn't have a keyboard just 5 buttons on the top. PSU: this does not need a PSU as it plugs into a USB port.

Put this tasblet doesn't display an image. Unless Display output means something else!

You asked what a professional would buy, it is generally the more expensive drawing tablets with a display.

Wacom starting out making devices like the one you linked, and they still make them. The Wacom you linked is bluetooth, which means a battery, and it comes bundled with some software, and a free trial for some Corel tools. The cheap one is USB.

Here are the pricey ones from Wacom.

Alternatives:

And they go up from there with display size and resolution.
