My Amptron GS17 monitor died on me and I got a RMA unit. My monitor was a .26 dp. The box of the replacement unit reads .28 dp. When I tried to get a replacement with a .26 Amptron guy told me that the replacement was .26 and the box was wrong. Is there any way to measure the actual dp of the monitor?

Try emailing the manufacturer's tech support to find out.

put a gun to the guys head and tell him to tell you the truth... the whole truth and nothing but the truth... or not... previous suggestion was better i think

if in doubt blame microsoft...

If for any reason my suggestion doesn't work, you might need to take killall's suggestion.

Was the replacement the same model?

Is the image quality of the replacement just as good as the original (when new)?

If so, forget it.

If not, give them grief. It doesn't matter what the guy said or what the box says or whether you can measure the dot pitch. If your warranty replacement was inferior the vendor has not fulfilled their warranty obligations.
