hi guys this may seem like a weird one but gaming is too much of a distraction and so easy to procrastinate, is there any form a of way PC or maybe even internet wise (On PC/separate router) i could shut myself out? preferably only accessible at scheduled certain times.

e.g - 7pm to 1am accessible.

Look into a program called ColdTurkey. It works really well and is easily worth the money (there's a relatively capable free version too, IIRC). It's capable of doing anything from stopping specific programs to preventing webpages from loading, and on top of that if one really wants it can lock out your PC entirely.

A free option that works moderately well is ActiveTrak, though it's a bit too rootkit-ish for my liking. As far as I can tell though it is legitimate software.

These are the only two I've found that haven't been trivially easy to circumvent.

Thanks for the reply it looks pretty good, i dont mind paying for it if it works. my only gripe is that is there a way around it? such as simply uninstalling it?

It will stop the program block, but it doesn't stop the web block. Either way, I've got much the same problem you do and I've found it annoying enough to remove that I don't bother.

At a point you gotta just deal, hahaha.

Im not too fussed about websites, I use a steam controller and very motivated to get to global with it in CS, problem is i just want to train and get better. so i put too much attention into that rather then doing something productive, such as work, gym, keeping my place tidy xD. so blocking a program would help but that what i wondering if theres an easy way around it.

Don't depend on software.
Train your mind.

Do it, or turn it off,...because you want to. Not because some "app" is telling you not to.
