Any worthwhile cryptocurrencys

Hi, i am am wanting to start mining cryptocyurrencys on my server and pc, my server is just an old redundant pc with no gpu, but my pc has an r9 280 and an i5 3570, cooling is fine and i dont pay for electricity but i would like to know the best most profitable currency to mine with this hardware and if i should bother at all. Thanks

Profitable mining needs a purpose built system. Profitable for you while someone else foots the elec bill is another story, but might not last long haha. Gl

You should check the various miner forums out there. But off the bat I can tell you that Bitcoin is a no go for anything less than custom built chips in a large array.

Crypto currency mining is not profitable with regular hardware. Your better off donating your cpu time to folding @home or similar distributed computing project.
