Anybody work at google? Do they give promotions?

I'm considering working for Google as a data center technician, and I'm young right now, but in the future I think that might get old. Do they have promotions or raises, or will I be stuck with the same wage and position forever? Thanks

They have to hire you first. It is not necessarily your choice.
But your questions are what should be asked at the interview.

If your wage doesn't increase, then it is decreasing because of inflation. There no way your wage would stay the same. Any place that doesn't allow for at least horizontal position migration will have people leave the company over time, which would be horrible for a highly competitive company like Google.

You would have to get the job first. But used I am sure they do

I have a relative that works at Google.

If you are good enough to get a job with them and you are good enough at that job then the sky's the limit; there are great opportunities. But you have to be prepared to be a hard worker. Google are rightly considered, in both the US and the UK, to be the best employer to work for. But that means that it is difficult to get a job with them. A lot of people want a job with Google.
