Poking around, I’ve got the system below

5900x
AsRock ab350 pro 4
32gb 4x8 gskill trident z 3200mhz
Msi mech 6700xt
240gb Samsung 960 evo nvme
2 1tb sata ssd drives
1 2tb sata ssd
Cooler master mb511 with 6 fans
Corsair 850 watt rmx


Currently have a 27 inch 1080p 144hz screen but thinking of 1440p and the size and price seem right.

Off brand Acer monitor? Very similar naming and even the images look similar, like they used the same marketing materials.

"AOPEN used to be the Open System Business Unit of Acer Computer Inc. "

So it isn't a 31.5" ultrawide. Just a big curved 16:9 with a low resolution. I think it would look awful.

Thanks for the suggestion. Guess I didn’t see the see the resolution especially since I’d searched for 1440p. Here’s another I’d been looking at as well.

I was going to order the MSI because I saw it on Newegg for 263, but turns out it was from a 3rd party seller. I’d rather deal directly with Newegg. You all had recommended the gigabyte and it was 50 bucks less than buying the MSI directly from Newegg. So the gigabyte is what I got. We’ll see what it looks like.

Rmx 850

So it should be a decent pairing.

Thanks for the recommendation for the gigabyte m32qc. Ended up ordering from Newegg on eBay for 249.99. Got it today and after some tweaking wow. Excellent picture and features. Especially jumping to 1440p from 1080p.

Glad I could help. I used to follow the monitor market a lot. But then there were only a few premium gaming monitors. Now there are far too many to keep track of casually.

I should know this buti’m unsure how to mark this as solved. But in any event that monitor has a VA panel but it seems to be a very good value for the size and price paid.
