A friend of mine recommended these guys for building a gaming PC for me. Has anyone heard of them and what do you think? My friend says they built him a really good machine with all high-end name brand parts but I would just like a little feedback before taking the plunge. Thanks!

Cant say I have heard of them. Read a couple articles and build one yourself. You will get more satisfaction out of it and just might be able to get slightly better parts for the same price from them. Assembling the parts really isn't as difficult as it looks. Plenty of guides and forums here to assist you.

Yeah, I just kind of like the idea that if something goes wrong I have a warranty to back me up, and phone support. I'll look into building it myself but...warranty, lol.

All parts come with a warranty and most hardware manufacturers are pretty easy and extremely helping in the event of an issue. Just check and see how long of a warranty each part has. You will be surprised.

The mark up on having a pc built to your liking usually just isn't worth it. Unless you are just totally ignorant when it comes to pc components (not saying you are), its always better and cheaper to build it yourself.

My friend said they didn't charge him anything for the build, all the money he gave them went into an itemized parts list and they refunded the small balance left over. I dont know how they make their money... manufacturers incentives? After checking several websites he said he couldn't have gotten the parts any cheaper. I guess I can just fill out their little contact form and see what they have to say, it would be nice to have the warranty and support as I am pretty bad with technology in general.

Unless they have a large selection of parts where they can afford to only charge for parts, they are marking up something or they wouldn't even be in business. Contacting them and getting in idea on parts and what you would spend wouldn't hurt though.
