I was going to do the update but thought I'd check and see if anyone had
tried it yet. I have a P4C800-E Deluxe that is running fine and I know "if
it ain't broke, blah blah blah".

Anyway, is anyone using it?

TIA,
clif

seems fine; not running any SATA or RAID at this time.

I've been using it for 3 months with no problems - Raid 0 setup

The same here. I'm using the original 1016 in my P4C800-E Deluxe
but are planning to update to a late and good working BIOS version.
I don't like to try any betas or unstable BIOS.

Works just fine for me.

Thanks every one for the response. Guess I'll go ahead and give it a try.
I'll let you know how it goes.

Ok, it went fine and I'm running S-ata Raid 0 on the Intel and the promise.
It's working fine ,but then I've been running the 1018 for a few months with
no problems and I never got the slow boot problem that some people did.

I just couldn't talk myself out of upgrading though. I kept telling myself
that everything is working fine so leave it alone and I'm running around 450
gb of drive space. Maybe with the new bios it's a nanosecond faster. Ya
think?

Anyone using Acronis True Image Backup with the new 1021 bios? With
bios 1019 when using True Image recovery CD I have to manually input
"no acpi" or the boot will hang. I was hoping that 1021 would correct
the incompatible bios problem. My P4C800E Deluxe is the only computer
that I have to do that for. My laptop and all other computers that I
have (5) boot the recovery CD without manual intervention.
