I'm saying in a year or two, games may need a couple more ghz than what I'm clocking it to, and since I don't push my hardware too much- it will give me a little more (or I may just upgrade at that point, who knows). If it wasn't a good combination, I wouldn't be using it. Dropping $1300-1500 (depending on GPU) on a new build. I'm sure I would have shifted towards a water cooler if I thought it was absolutely necessary.
Are you even overclocking it? If not, it's great. If you are overclocking a little, it's good. If you are one of those people who overclocks way past necessity, it's not good.
