Hello, this is my first ever PC gaming build so any advice/tips/product knowledge would be appreciated. I've tried to look at reviews, benchmarks and value for money when looking at each of my components but I'm not an expert so I wanted to post my build to Toms hardware just to check before ordering the parts. I mainly wanted to know about compatibility issues and any problems people had with the components i've chosen or if I've missed anything out.

Also, if you think, for any of the components, that you can find something similar from the UK for a cheaper price please tell me!

Anyway here's my build:

CPU - Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler

Motherboard - Asus Z97-P ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

Memory - G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Storage - Toshiba 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive and
Plextor M5S Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Video Card - MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card

Case - NZXT S340 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case

PSU - Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Monitor - Asus VS228HR 60Hz 21.5" Monitor

Again, ANY advice or tips are greatly appreciated and if you think you can find any similar components from the UK that are cheaper please mention it. Thank you.

Corsair Builder Power Supplies are of poor quality. Even getting something as cheap as this will be better: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Continuous-Warranty-Supply-100-W1-0500-KR/dp/B00H33SFJU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447803075&sr=8-1&keywords=evga+500w
This would be the ideal power supply because you are dealing with high quality powerful components: http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-SuperNOVA-Crossfire-Warranty-110-B2-0750-VR/dp/B00KFAFRW6/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1447813923&sr=8-10&keywords=evga+supernova

To be honest you don't need a motherboard that expensive. These motherboards would be good too...

Also, I don't see any reason not to get a Skylake if you have the money for it, just a suggestion.

Good luck!
