hey guys, i was just wondering if there was anything wrong with my current system build, or anything that can help improve it.
Thanks in Advance

My PC:

Antec 900 Case

Asus M4A78 PRO motherboard

PhenomII 940 @3.2ghz 1.35v - Scythe Orochi Fanless Heatsink - 30C idle 37 load

PowerColor 4870 512mb OC'ed with ATI Catalyst

OCZ Reaper Hpc 2x2gb 1066mhz

Asus Xonar DX Soundcard

D-Link DGE 530T NIC

Western Digital 320gb HDD SataII 16mb - I save quite a bit of space, only used 140gb

4 port usb card

Samsumg Dvd ROM (Im sure its fine, dont know the exact model however)

Corsair TX 750w

as for the monitor it is the Samsung SyncMaster 2253LW 1680x1050 Res, 2ms response 8000:1 Dynamic

and the USB ports are all filled with Webcam, mouse, keyboard, ipod etc.

I have also filled all Fan slots except the window

I play many games, but i also do photo and Video editing, games include Dawn of war II, Counter Strike Source, all the newest games and some old ones, etc.

Any help would be appreciated!

Why do you ask? Are you not getting the performance you want out of it? Are you perfectly happy with the pc, but stricken with a sudden urge to spend on upgrades to fix nonexistent problems?

actually, yes! my windows boot up is extremely slow( up to 2 mins )
i have many defrag programs, and optimization programs, but none of them seem to help. 🙁

Go through your startup programs and see if there is anything you don't need to have starting with windows.

Run msconfig.exe, then in the startup tab, uncheck programs you don't need.

slow boot times are usually from programs deciding they need to start and load in to ram whether you want to use them or not .

Fast boots happen when you disable everything that isnt
windows
firewall
antivirus

all the rest will load when you click on them manually.

And NEVER store files on your desktop . Its an active folder and loads in to ram . That 750 mb movie you dropped in there last week while you figured out where to file it is bringing your computer to a crawl by using 750 mb of RAM even though its doing nothing
