I think the one good thing about IE is that it works flawlessly for the most part. I like Avant, but have found some bugs or maybe it’s the way I have it set up or not set up. Really all I did was allow block pop ups and adds. The cookies still seem to find there way to my computer and one page didn’t want to reopen after blocking their pop up. I had to close Avant completely. I like opening up new IEs and it seems to be one extra step to do that with Avant. Having several pages showing up top, kind of reminds me of the AOL days. I checked out a porn site and had four pages up and I heard sound, but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from. When I tried to switch back and fourth between pages it started to get wacky and eventually I had to reboot. I went back to the four sites using IE and there was two videos going, sound and ZA asking to allow Media player to allow one video. All that ran flawless with IE, but Avant for what ever reason was choking. I don’t mean to give you a review and I do appreciate the suggestion, but my conclusion after a short time of using it found things I liked and dislike and when it fell to pieces on me I wasn’t impressed. I guess that’s why I like IE, because it’s simple. I’ll probably still fool around with Avant, because I’m curious why it whacked out. Again I’m sorry for the review and realize it could be my own doing.

Hmm...apparently our browsing habits differ. I have to admit I have never tried to assault four porn sites at once with it.

I never have to open more than one instance of Avant.

Most of my surfing is to news sites, software sites, message boards, shopping and the like. What I really find useful is clicking the links to a story or product with the scroll button and having it open in the background. At a news site I can check out the front page select the stories I want to read, having them all load in the background and then go thru them one at a time. This method is also useful for comparing products at a shopping site.

I need to reformat my kids!
....WW (5.1)

Hehe…I only went there to test things out. I may have spoken to soon, being in a hurry to go off to work, because when I enabled Ad blocker I didn’t experience the problem again. As far as IE I don’t think it has any Ad blockers, so Avant does offer more features. I’m using it now, basically just because I like the way it looks and will see how it works for me in the days to come.

Your right the scroll button feature is nice, I’ll just have to get use to it. Maybe I won’t have to open some many browsers either.

Great… I’ll be looking forward to it. Yeah, maybe good stuff, it sounds good. I’m sure when it comes out it will be all they say and be bug free. Hehe.. It looks like you could download it at one time, but not anymore, unless there’s a leak somewhere.

IE 7.0 is supposed to have a huge amount of features.. like a lot of other browsers, but then new features not seen in those.

Good stuff maybe.
MS must've hired Dilbert's Feature Creep.
