I'm working on a computer build but the one thing I can't decide on is what to do about the audio set up.

I can't have more than two speakers due to spacing limitations. I've tested out the set up with two speakers that i have, and it sounds okay, but I think it could be better. So what I've been considering is getting a monitor with built in speakers and having them work in conjunction with the two stand alone speakers.

I just don't know if that's even possible. So I would greatly appreciate it if someone could tell me if and how it can be done.

seconded, monitor speakers are typically underpowered and generally sound like trash. normally it is going to lower the quality of your whole experience.

seconded, monitors needing an aux in to make it work right and either using them as a center channel would be best if you did.

my advice would be to turn them off and just use the speakers you bought instead as you would be better off.
