So i just got this 4k monitor and i got it run 30hz at 3840x2160 but everytime i try to set it 60hz it reverts to 1080p and viceversa i set it to 3840x2160 it reverts to 30Hz

I am using Displayport 1.2 with R9 295x2 and i tried fiddling with CRU also i installed drivers beta and back but to succees.

Every time i boot up i get message from catalyst that there is something wrong between monitor and pc?

Edit: So now i installed catalyst beta and now resolution is 3200x1800@60hz and thats the highest resolution...

Try to read this my friend, it will show you what the Hardware you require to have in order to make 4k work.
http://www.digitaltrends.com/computing/what-hardware-do-you-need-to-run-stuff-at-4k-resolution-on-your-pc/

I have read that and i think my pc would be capable to 4k ? I can have 4k resolution but not with 60hz even with Displayport 1.2.

Exactly what ? im confused.
My screen should be able to do 3840x2160@60hz and my gpu should provide enough muscle also. But i cant enable 3840x2160@60hz and im now stuck 3200x1800@60hz

___ Exactly.
Having a 4k resolution monitor requires some heavy materials in order to work properly.
Properly is in working good, with less you can still do it, but the detail will be meh.

Yes, Gpu only has minidisplay and dvi while screen doesn't have minidisplay connectors, is that the problem ? Could it be that its 1.1 and not 1.2 ?

You're using a miniDP cable or adapter and connecting it to the DP input on the monitor, right?
If you're trying to use miniDP -> HDMI with a current adapter or cable, it will only go up to 4K @ 30Hz (even if the HDMI is v2.0).

If you are going miniDP -> DP, are you using an adapter, or a single cable, and what length? It's possible there is something wrong with the cable/adapter (defective, too old).

It's Displayport to minidisplay port and its cable and 2 m because it was only what they had.
