AoE install one new machine?

Ok, so me and a friend have bought AoE 3 and want to play online.
He has ordered a new laptop, he wants to know can he install AoE using the code on his current laptop, play online with me, then when his new laptop arrives, install on that machine with the same code and play on his new laptop, he is going to wipe the drive of his old laptop when his new one arrives.

Dont want to waste the game on his old laptop if he can only use one code if this is the case.

Does anyone know?

if I remember right you can install it on as many computers as you wont but you have to have the disc inserted in the drive to play the game so you can only play it on one computer at a time.
