'Dial-up broadband stalwart AOL'

It's good to know that the 3.3 kbps typical speed I used to get on the ol' dial-up was considered broadband. It felt so amazing being able to view half-an-image once every hour.

Edit: Aaw, they changed it to 'dial-up connectivity stalwart' instead. My snark has been overridden.

I've actually worked at their four locations in northern Virginia including their original building. I'm surprised they didn't shut this down over a decade ago.

Dial up with 56kbps us robotics trying to play online from Brazil to an US servers are really bad but have some fun. Some times the connection goes to 3000ms lot's of server kick on sight. AT this day with a good fiber optics gives 230 - 300 ms. =]

I grew up with this guy who was really smart. He could have done anything: physicist, lawyer, doctor, AI scientist, Nobel laureate... Instead he became a crackhead and died in his 30s. Such a shame. So much lost potential. I feel like Yahoo and AOL are the corporate equivalent.
