I am thinking of upgrading my Motherboard which is an Asus Prime B450 m-a, to either Aorus B550 Elite V2 for $159 or Asrock Phantom Gaming B550 Velocita for $129. Which would better my CPU is a Ryzen 5 5600 & Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 3200mhz is the dims I'm currently using. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

why the need to get a new mobo? does what you have not cover your needs?

we can't really make any valid suggestions without knowing the background here.

so start at the beginning and tells us why you are looking and what you hope to gain from the new mobo :)

Do you really need to know all that to tell which is the better Motherboard? I was just wonder which was the better deal Aorus b550 elite V2 for $159 or Asrock Phantom Gaming B550 Velocita for $119. I was wanting to upgrade to a board with PCIe 4.0

well we don't need your life story, just so info on the system and how you use it :)

but if you need 10 usb ports and one only has 6, then it's not a good buy even if it is "better". not trying to be difficult but we see tons of threads every day asking how to "add" features to a mobo someone bought cause it was "the best" but lacks needed options.

the best buy for you is not necessarily the best one for me. one may have super mega vrm's and be able to put out 400w of power, but if you're putting a 3600 on it that only pulls 90w max, then it's a bit of a wasted feature. but if i'm putting the 5950x on it and plan to oc the heck out of it, then it is probably on my short list of options. and so on and so on.......

i've been using a lot or aorus boards last couple years and have not had any issues with any of them. my current system is an z570s Aorus elite and it's everything i needed and more. i've also used a few of the AsRock boards. my tiny pc has the B550 phantom gaming in it. i found it much better than i expected for the money. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089VRZ6JX

to sum it up, you need to consider your needs for the system and then decide what is "best" for you. noit really what someone else thinks is best in general.
