[SOLVED] Aorus Z790 Pro X CPU and DRAM Lights - Won't Post

Frustrated to get this far with no cookie.

Aorus Z790 Prox X will not post. MOBO CPU error status light flashes briefly, goes out, then DRAM light lights up.
The system reboots after a short period and will reboot continuously. No video.

I have:
- Swapped memory, used two diff sticks in diff slots.
- Loosened CPU cooler.
- Removed GPU.
- Checked MOBO for bent pins.
- Reset CMOS.
- Double checked cables.
- Removed SSDs.

None of these steps have helped. Memory is listed as compat on the GB web site.
The CPU light going on and off seems irregular. I guess I'd have to take it to a repair shop to have it tested.
Power supply is a Be Quiet at 1,000 watts.
All fans turning, and I assume water pump is pumping.

I'm going to flash the BIOS as a long shot. I came across this in instructions:
"Q-Flash Plus will update the main BIOS only if run without the CPU installed. The system will shut down upon completion."

Say what? Firstly, the system is not even running. But ya gotta remove the CPU to use Q-Flash Plus? I must be misunderstanding.

Any ideas appreciated. Very frustrated. This build has been a PITA.

What processor did you pair with the motherboard? What ram slots are you populating the board with your ram modules? You should be able to get POST with the iGPU if you processor isn't an F SKU, without a discrete GPU in the build.

Breadboard the system and see if that helps you.

Thanks for replying. CPU is 13900KF; no graphics.
Tried one stick of RAM in each slot, two diff sticks.
That CPU light is worrisome.
When folks hit a wall between CPU and MOBO, is it typical to replace the CPU first? Hoping for no return hassles (Amazon).

Progress. BIOS update got me past DRAM light, but now have VGA light.
March forward.

13900KF have no igpu. need a gpu

BIOS flash and assorted CMOS resets solved the problem.
