Question Apci error: "couldn't get size" when trying to install ubuntu 16.04 via usb.

Uief mode. Secure boot is on, without adds another error line. I do not even get the "purple" after choosing try or install ubuntu. How do i get it to install? The error in title sill not let me install the os

What hardware?

Try newer version, latest one is 19.10. If you insist on LTS, try 18.04.

@Alabalcho originally it was bios and cannot get size errors, but my bios sees the ssd for what it is. after doing some research apci has something to fo with sata controllers. only thing i have sata cable attached is the ssd and a disc reader. i have the Usb im installing ubuntu from as boot priority for some reason partitions one and 2 get priority one and 2
