[citation][nom]godwhomismike[/nom]Awwww... The Apple fan-bois invaded Tom's and downvoted every single negative Apple post. Whatever guys, I got far better things to do with my money than to waste it on a limited-use $500+ toy.[/citation]I guess your right. But, the applications are friggin endless and are pretty damn good. One day your realize it isn't as useless as you think it is. I am sure if you had 500 bucks to "spare" you would buy one.

[citation][nom]RipperjackAU[/nom]The iPad... It's the iTouch for people whom like to touch themselves in a BIG way.[/citation]I wonder where that guy is that said to me, that there is no such thing as an iTouch??

[citation][nom]tsnorquist[/nom]I don't know what netbook you're running, but my Asus 1201n doesn't exhibit any of these issues. The keyboard is far from cramped and can be easily typed on.I've experienced no slowdowns, even running in 1080p mode connected to a LCD tv.The touchpad is very usable, but an external bluetooth mouse goes a long wayThe battery life is nearly 4 hoursMaybe you should consider wiping the default OS the OEM ships and reloading Windows 7 - you'll see much better results doing so.[/citation]The keyboard is NOT far from cramped. You've adjusted, just like everyone else to justify the reasoning for purchasing such a useless item. Why do you even have it? To surf the web??? I would never get one just to "get one". I have seriously, in the past, come up with two valid reasons to get one. One has been solved by the iPod touch. 1. To surf the web. 2. To have a device I can use to interface with my VW. 3. (just came up with it) Mobile beat making. Just found a program, that is awesome, in the App Store.

Wait, your complaining about the 'cramped' keyboard on netbooks, but think a touchscreen keyboard is fine?

WTF are you smoking and why are you not sharing?

Most of the people who bought these will end up finding SOME use for them in order to rationalize their over-exuberant purchase. I predict most will end up bungie-corded to the back of their car's front-seat headrests force-feeding their kids all those Baby Einstein DVDs they also were flim-flammed into buying.

Ugh! THC needs a better way to either prevent double-posting during login procedure OR the ability to let poster delete their own post.

I agree! The ipad is just a BIG ipod Touch. Buying one is like paying more money for a 46" LCD TV when you have a perfectly good 15" LCD TV that has all the same features. Who in the hell would do that? Only someone who thinks like an Apple Fanboy.

Funny how all those Apple fanboys who are belittled for being dumb have all the money to pay Apple's premium prices. Maybe geek type intelligence is way over rated by geeks. Some people just enjoy fiddling with computers, other see computers just as an appliance to create content and wealth.
