Actually the article does make sense. Many people who are tech enthusiasts are also investors. This is the type of article where the two meet. Not to mention, when I see articles like this about the S3 or other phones, I don't see these same people complaining. I actually see quite a few of them praising which shows hypocrisy.
It's also pretty pathetic for people to also bash Zak Islam when he is obviously the Apple beat writer for Tom's. His job is to write about Apple. Many commenters bash on him for being some sort of Apple fan kiddie when in fact he has written many articles about the bad side of Apple. Just 5 links below this article is one he wrote about how a company who won a lawsuit against Apple previously is once again suing them. Amazingly enough because it's not a flattering article about Apple, none of the iHaters are bashing Zak Islam in the comments in that article, but in comments like the ones you see here, you would think Zak would never write anything negative about Apple, which is clearly not the case.
You can think that... but I don't think Tom's or others medias should be use to write "speculation article".
This could be interresting to tech enthusiasts and investors but... they just have to read specialised media like AppleInsider.
It's not because Starbucks or BestBuy expectation X milion sell... that should be see on Tom's! It's worst if it's analyst expectation...
There is a limit between mass media and specified media.
If Toms want so much be specified on Apple news, he should rename itself to Applehardware....
For S3 speculation, I didn't agree too. Some analysts just want make the same and create an hype.
I see this as propaganda and Apple "analyst" started the show.
They should just stop for both of them.
Anyway, analysts just present a bias opinion.
Next time I should just write an article and post on Tom since I'm a analyst too.
And the main reason why I see this as propaganda is based on this quote "Talk about it good, talk about it bad but you have talked about it. People will know it and buy it."
So if you can make people talk 5 times for the same news, you just brainwash them.
