News Apple debuts M3 Ultra in refreshed Mac Studio with up to 512GB memory

Well, Apple knows how to catch me off guard. And to price things immensely. A full loaded Mac Studio or a (admittedly entry level) car? And Mac Pro remains on M2 generation. I suppose I should be happy that I won’t be itching to abuse my wallet this year…

This is a thing you should be using for work and the base config is priced quite reasonably.

Upgrades are sure to be ridiculously priced but if you can get more work done by spending a bit more now it’s probably still worth your while.

A PC with similar performance will cost much the same so if your workflow is on osx this is a good deal.

Still very expensive for business . when alternative at half the price exist.

Please link a desktop/workstation with 32 core cpu (heck even 32 threads), 512 GB of RAM and 16 TB SSD that is half the price. A Dell Precision 5860 with equivalent hardware is $12,005 (if you count SMT as full threads, $12,668 if you don't).

I'm not saying their isn't an Apple premium here, but it's not 100% markup or half the price. It's more like 10 to 15%.

Dell is overpriced as well . Build your own workstation.

Definitely don’t disagree! I have a fully loaded M1Max MBPro…
