Apple Gets a Patent For an Idea that is 24 Years Old

1.slide to unlock 2. Scroll bounce, 3. tap to zoom 4. rectangles, 5. type ahead prediction 6. pinch to zoom.

This should be invalidated like the others as well.

Microsoft and other giant tech firms get equally frivioulous patents. Why aren't you spewing their names too? Unless

#1. You have no idea what's been happening with patents the past 10 years and the broken patent office and system.

#2. You just simply HATE Apple and anything negative you will jump on them and ignore other firms doing the EXACT same thing.

Either case you need to enlighten yourself.

You obviously do not follow tech patents. Even Tom's Hardware has other firms patent filings that are previous tech so you clearly are uneducated.

I think this patent is fine. Its very narrow and specific. Heck even Microsoft's Zune music finder that is incredibly similar to this would not infringe because it would have to be exactly what this patent specifies.
