@webbwbb: ARM DOES have a product. That product is not a piece of plastic and metal manufactured in China, but it is just a much a product as any other that you can buy. Their product includes a design, an architecture, documentation, and other components. If I had the $ and the interest, I could go to ARM and purchase a license for their designs and architecture, give that to a fab, and with very little other work start making ARM CPUs. There is a huge difference between that, and say a patent troll that patents a standardized wireless communications protocol that can be described on a single sheet of paper.
