And the dirty story continues...
Too bad I don't have the popcorn to watch it, except reading the news reports and articles.
For how long this technological beef will go on?
Only God knows.

keep it going i say...as long as these 2 top dogs are competing there will always be better technology sooner for consumers...ps i hate Apple with a passion!

Why the heck can't Apple just leave people alone? Yeah, because they TOTALLY need more money and stuff. Come on, I already hate them enough. LEAVE SAMSUNG ALOOOOOONE!

They feel the innovation slipping away. It has been ever since Jobs died. Their stocks have dropped $200 in 2-3 months! That says something.

"start on March 31, 2014."

The way the Apple stock is going they may not be able to afford a lawyer by then.

Well, one can hope...

You'd figure Samsung would be smart and do what HTC did and go into a licensing agreement. Especially since they'd already lost a billion. Apple will just take them for a couple billion this time around.

1) Samsung has not lost a dime. Most of the patents in that case have since been invalidated. The court case will be reversed. All across the world Apple loses in courts YET you never comment on those articles! lol

2) why would samsung pay apple for bogus patents? apple is nothing but bogus patents and stolen tech packaged nicely to fool the tech illiterate consumers.

3) apple is losing everywhere and their market share is shrinking not to mention demand is waning and stock price is plummeting. lol

They never innovated, even when Jobs was alive. All they did was iterate, combining ideas from multiple devices that came prior to the iPod, iPhone, and iPad, into a single device. Touch screens exists before the idevices, voice activated calling existed before the iPhone, apps for mobile devices existed before the idevices. Jobs just saw the various technologies and combined them into a single device and then claimed it was "magical". Don't get me wrong, Jobs was good at seeing trends, but he was not an innovator.

[citation][nom]eternalkp[/nom]what device does the note 2 mimic from apple? can someone explain this to me[/citation]

it copies the iPad Mini, because they're only an inch or 2 apart in size
even though Samsung launched the Note first 😛

Dear Zak,
The press is full of articles about the blows that Apple takes in the courts of many countries outside the USA. Fore some reason, you persist in seeing only one side of the story ... Biased reporting is as bad for your credibility and harms Tom's hardware as well... If people get bored, they will leave !

[citation][nom]unksol[/nom]" Samsung saw its request of having the judgement re-trailed denied."What the hell is a re-trail? And what was wrong with the old trail anyway?[/citation]
jury members used outside influence from his past patent trials to sway the votes, something your NOT supposed to do.

"The jury instructions from U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh told jurors that they must "decide the case solely on the evidence before you."

the jury decided that Samsung was liable for damages even for patents that were not infringed

the jury was one fd up panel, with the majority probably all owned iphones.

Samsung's next innovation: Foldable Screens.

Apple's next innovation: Smaller iPhone for the middle lower income demography.

Samsung's is awesome.

Apple's has been done for the past decade by everyone.

click the "read comments on the forums" and you get a free "edit" button.

Edit: apple is probably going to patent that idea.
