So I have cellular internet but I'm highly considering getting a apple TV for my streaming stuff, I have 900GB a month to spend, and usually get close or right at cap the day it resets. My worry is sometimes my connection is really good and could support 4k streaming but I don't want it too. So I'm wondering if the HD version of Apple TV is still supported or if there is a setting for it not to force 4k. Btw I use Roku now, so I'm blind buying (Should I but one), so figured I'd ask some questions. Thanks!

Yes, within the settings of your Apple TV you can change the resolution and HDR settings. It will default to what your TV can handle out of the box (typically 4K HDR), so it's worth checking your settings and changing it to the desired resolution.
