The Problem:Any game application crashes after 5-10 mins of gameplay, sometimes the system crashes too, shows Memory dump - blue screen/. Sometimes it restarts and fails to load the O.S , but next day everything will work fine again as if nothing happened as long as I am not playing any game.Sometimes keeping the case open helps, but i am not sure is it due to overheating or anything else,Reinstalled the O.S as well but dint help.

Please let me know if you guys have any solution for this.

Thank you for your suggestion, I have followed your instructions and here are the TEMPs:

CPU : MAX > 76C / 168F (Core temps are @ 82C / 180F
GPU: MAX > 71C / 159 F

Please suggest.

What is the exact model of your CPU? Which Phenom?

EDIT: Nevermind, found this page:

You can see that 76C is definitely too much regardless of the model you have.

First, make sure the fan on the CPU is spinning at all. If it is, remove your CPU heatsink, clean it thoroughly, replace thermal paste, put it back. This should resolve the issue or at least make it much better. Airflow in your case might be bad, depending on the number of fans and components installed, so check this out as well.

As a final measure, you would need a new cooler, like Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO (make sure it fits in your case, it is 159mm tall).

Well, I brought in additional fans, cleansed the heatsink and re-applied the thermal paste and now the temperature hovers around 55-65C during CPU load state and 45C @ CPU idle state, however the system still freezes when there is CPU load. I have re-flashed the system BIOS as well.

The point to note here is if I reduce the CPU voltage by a bit the sytem is stable, hwever then it also devreases the preformance.
