Application not found error

This error and a sound Pops up when I try to open the e: drive to play any cd /DVDs or game. Under computer it shows DVD RW Drive ( E: ) But does not show name of what cd is inserted or open it. Tried uninstalling and re installing and it did not help and says device is working properly. This is an as us K53E Series running windows 7

If you right-click on the disk and select "Open" does it open a window and show you the contents of the disk? If it does, see if you can open your Media Player manually or if it gives errors. If it opens, use Media Player and try to open the disk from there.
