Approx 500W PSU

Hi guys i have a Approx 500W Power Supply which producing at +12V1 --> 22A
& at +12V2 --> 20A.

I want to buy the Gigabyte GTX 1060 G1 Gaming.

Recommended PSU is 400W
And the Power Connector is a 8 pin*1

My PSU doesnt have a 8 pin connector so i intend to use an adapter from molex to 8 pin.

The graphics card has low comsuption only 150 watts

I want to ask if my PSU can handle the GTX 1060. Is it safe?
Or i should buy a 80 plus bronze PSU for the job?

If your PSU does not have a PCIe power connector, it may be a PSU-shaped object that is not actually capable of supplying enough amperage at +12V for a powerful graphics card. What brand and model is it?
(by "Approx," do you mean "Approximately," or is "Approx" the brand name? If the latter, you may be able to hurl it farther than many of us here would trust it)

when you start using adapters on a PSU that doesn't have the proper connectors you are just looking for trouble. if you're looking to get a modern GPU like the 1060 get a new PSU to go with it

Adapters are a bad idea with poor quality PSU's , you need to upgrade to run a 1060.

Using molex adapters may not be safe, if your PSU is only capable of producing a fraction of the amperage claimed on its label (a common problem for cheap PSU-shaped objects).

while corsair PSU are a quality PSU brand there CX line is only meant for basic PC's if looking into A corsair PSU you would need to look into something like there RMx line of PSU's. but the other recommendations already mentioned are a great choice too
