Apps hanging when downloading

is anyone running windows 8 finding that the store when i update say like the xbox app it just hangs when it says it downloads

It does so only if the window is switched. It works as long as it remains as your current and active windows. I'm not sure if I understood you quite right...

Maybe sorry im not used to windows 8 im used to useing windows phone

NP... Its actually pretty lame for an app to hang when its switched to another app. The desktop is the only thing that doesn't hang when switched for something.
