they are good if you plan on using them for there graphics core. depends on what you want to use it for and what your budget is often times an i3 will beat out a quad core apu. and the more pricey apus you can afford an i5 locked processor that beats about anything in that price range. their not recommended that often. but in certain cases they do serve a purpose
