I am gonna go for a laptop within this week and i am confused with these 2 models.

APU Quad Core A10 4600M ---- Core i5 (3rd Generation) 3210M
6 GB DDR3---4 GB DDR3
2 GB AMD 7670M HD Graphics ---- 1 GB AMD 7670M HD Graphics
(Integrated 512 MB AMD 7660 G)

Confusion is about the processors. Dont know whether the amd processors are good performers than the intel i's.

The i5 is really a dual core "i3" so its not much faster than the A10.
By itself, the A10-4600M apu has a fairly decent gpu already built in.

There is also "dual graphics" so adding a extra hd-7670m means it can sort of "crossfire" with the integrated A10 gpu. In benchmarks this has not worked out so good.

Look and see if the A10 laptop lets you run with the integrated gpu only when running on battery power, if it does this means gaming on battery power is possible.

In some ways adding a discrete hd-7670m to the A10-4600m laptop ruins it.
I would look at the cheaper model that lacks the discrete hd-7670m.
If it's over $100 cheaper, i would consider running just the apu.

Both the A10-4600m and 3210M are 35watts. But the A10 includes a 384 shader
gpu in that 35watts of power.

The hd-7670 uses 19 watts, so it's 35+19 watts=54watts.

Sadly when you look at the benchmarks, dual graphics doesn't seem to work well and the hd-7670m is not much faster than the integrated hd-7660G.
