Hi all,

I've made a mistake and ordered the TC (Temperature Controlled) version of the Arctic F12 fan..

I now want to have control over the fan speed with my NZXT Grid+ V3, so would want to override the inbuilt sensor.

(I've currently connected it through the Grid+, but it's speed remains largely constant..)

Does anybody know if and how I can do this?

Many thanks!

Hi nukemaster,

thanks for the feedback!

Please excuse my ignorance, just want to make sure I get this right - do you mean just cutting the cable and joining the two ends?

Yes.

You do this with the sensor cable. Do not short any other cables.

Many fans have them built into the motor. Your fan seems like it will be more easy to mod.

Please note this WILL void the warranty. If you can exchange it for a non TC model, I recommend that instead.
