Arctic Silver 5, 200 hours curing time ?

so guys i applied Arctic Silver 5 on my GPU, yeah i know its conductive , it said that AS5 had a curing time of 200 hours , whats curing suppose to mean ?

Curing time is the time it takes from application to the point where it no longer gains any further thermal conductivity

ok thank you when this time is completed , would it some how lower temperatures further ?

No, when it is fully cured, the temperatures will not get any lower

This is why its not worth using Arctic Silver 5 any more. You can get better temps with something like MX-4, which has no curing time.

Buyer beware: The brand Arctic Silver is not the same as Arctic. This is one of the few pastes on the market that still sports silver as an ingredient. However, it shows its age and does not keep up with the best pastes out there today. Based on its performance, it seems overpriced.

In many ways that graph shows it really doesnt.matter. 3 degree swing isn't really massive and have to account for at least a +- 1deg error anyway.

Yup.

As you can see, it does kind of work, but crap compared to a normal thermal paste, and it would dry up quite fast too.
