Are Amd a88x chip set motherboards overclock able?

so yeah is it overclock able? And are all amd motherboards overclock able or only certain chips?

Yes, it is overclockable with processors that are compatible. Preferably you'd want one with an unlocked multiplier. Also look for a board that has heat sinks on its VRMs and high phase power. (although I imagine they are all only 4+1)

I have the following motherboard and an AMD A10-7850K Black Edition which I've been able to overclock from 3.7Ghz. to 4.7Ghz. @ 1.5vcore with a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo, some chips of the same model will only go to 4.5Ghz. and require watercooling though... but yes, as long as you get an unlocked CPU/APU and a motherboard that offers options for overclocking, it's possible:
