Just as the header says. I dont plan to overclock the RAM or CPU and im planning to get either an RX 5700XT or a 2070S. I just want to know if i should get a b450 or an x570 MO for sub $150. Ive heard about bad drivers/bios (something along those lines) on the Gigabyte and im not really tech savvy. I just know the basics. Thank you :)

Was thinking about getting this MO https://www.amazon.com/GIGABYTE-B450-AORUS-Thermal-Motherboard/dp/B07GRNSWNR

Solution
B450 motherboards support Ryzen 3000, but not all of them do it out of the box.
Msi's B450 MAX - the MAX is important, and Asrock's B450M/AC are the ones I know off the top of my head that support Ryzen 3000 out of the box.
That Gigabyte mobo could be hit or miss: if it's from a newer batch, then great! If not, you're SoL, and will have to either return it, or take it to a PC shop and have them update it for you, or something.

I've not heard of Gigabyte having bad drivers/bios specifically, but I have heard that they don't have the most user-friendly bios... it's a matter of opinion though.
I've yet to use a Gigabyte mobo myself, so I can't comment further.

Most would have the compatible bios already, as the production bios have been officialy out for most board brands close to a year. I've build a system with a 3700X with a B450 Steel Legend and worked out of the box, bought that board a couple of months ago.

Production bios is already out, but they're in the mix among the non-production ones too... the user is at the mercy of whoever is in the vendor's warehouse filling the order.
The Ryzen 3000 ready Bs and As have the same SKUs as the ones that don't. They're not going to specifically look for them unless you make them.

That boards VRM’s don’t do well in reviews, I’d go with something else.
True it didn't review well.
BUT,
I ran a 3700x on mine for about a month and the VRM handled it extremely well.
I put a temperature sensor on my VRMs and they idled around ~38-40C and never went above ~50-52C
The trick is good case airflow.
I would have No issue whatsoever running a 3900 or 3900x at stock speeds on that B450-F with good case airflow.

That being said there are certainly B450 MBs with better VRMs out there like the Tomahawk B450 MAX.
